Toby - Site Supervisor Level 4 Apprentice with BAM and Solent University

Toby Upsall joined CoTrain in 2021. He is doing the Site Supervisor Level 4 Apprenticeship with BAM and Solent University.

He is amazed by his BAM teammates. They are always there to help and support Toby. With this positive atmosphere on site and in the office, Toby is making remarkable progress in gaining #SkillsForLife.

Toby’s long-term goal is to work on high-value projects and become a Project Manager. He is mapping out his career aspirations by making plans to start the next apprenticeship as an Assistant Site Manager.

Toby feels inspired by his fantastic Project Manager. Toby looks up to his Manager and is fascinated by how he deals with clients and the day-to-day running of the site. His leadership skills, high ethical values and treatment of all as equals creates an impressive role model for Toby and secures further positive experience with the host.

Toby has excellent advice for everyone choosing a career in construction: “Ask questions and try and understand things yourself. You won’t know everything, so make sure you utilise the experienced staff”.
